Your team

Within the Directorate Maastricht Upper Area Control Centre, The "ATM Training"  service is a certified training provider operating under EU regulations. The service is responsible for developing, delivering and maintaining training (internal and external) for ATC students & ATCO's. The "ATM Training" service also provides support and competence in the realisation of ATM related projects at MUAC. 

Your role

Your role will be to:

  • Design, develop, and maintain dashboards, reports, and lite frontend applications to support the post-operations analysis process.
  • Produce intuitive and visually appealing data reports and dashboards to support the decision-making process.
  • Participate in application development in collaboration with engineers and architects, following the common software development guidelines.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor key performance indicators according to the service’s overall objectives and targets.
  • Collaborate with the central data team and end-users in order to improve current products/activities and facilitate new and innovative solutions.
  • Contribute to working groups, studies, and projects.
  • Be constantly on the lookout for ways to improve business practices and efficiencies and make concrete proposals.
  • Carry out any other task in line with the main purpose of the job.

Required qualifications, experience & competencies

  • Completed university studies of 4 years in a relevant domain (e.g., data science such as big data or/and machine learning, engineering, computing science, etc.)
  • In addition to the above, minimum 4 year(s) of relevant working experience.
  • Experience with visualization tools, such as Tableau, PowerBI, etc.
  • Experience in writing SQL queries.
  • Experience in lightweight front-end development (i.e., designing user interfaces, and front-end applications using low-code platforms).
  • Experience with JAVA, JavaScript, and Python would be considered an advantage.

Useful information

  • Applications will be accepted from nationals of EUROCONTROL Member States only.
  • The selected candidate will be offered a contract of 3 Year(s) pursuant to the provisions of the Conditions of Employment of Contract Staff at EUROCONTROL. The contract may be renewed. Before being established in the post, he/she will be requested to provide certified copies of his/her degrees and successfully serve a probationary period of 9 months.
  • The successful candidate shall be engaged in principle at the basic grade of the advertised grades.
  • In case of reserve list: Suitable candidates, however not selected to fill the post, will be placed on a reserve list for similar functions. The period of validity of reserve list is 1 year from the closing date of applications.
